Named after the Welsh seaside resort, Llandudno boasts arresting views of Table Mountain and is home to sprawling, palatial homes, as well as a beautiful beach and a primary school, both named in honour of the affluent suburb. Without a doubt, property in Llandudno is some of the most sought-after real estate in all of the Western Cape. Unlike Camps Bay or Clifton, Llandudno doesn’t feature shopping precincts restaurants or nightclubs.

In saying that, it’s a mere five-minute drive from the bustling Hout Bay, and 10 minutes from Cape Town’s CBD. As a Llandudno resident, look no further than the famous beach for a distraction; it boasts 200 metres of beatific white sand, indigenous shrubbery and large, granite boulders.
The beach has been certified as a “Blue Flag beach” by the Foundation for Environmental Education, an international certification that enforces stringent guidelines upon its chosen few. In the summer months, the beach is monitored by members of Llandudno Surf Lifesaving Club who are taught discipline and instilled with respect for the power of Mother Nature. A stone’s throw away from the beach, you’ll find Llandudno Primary. The school was founded in 1954 and celebrates its 60th birthday in 2014. It began as a community project aimed at educating the children in the area, who, due to a lack of public transport, were unable to reach schools in the city. In 1990, the school population had swelled to 96, and during its Golden Jubilee there were 216 children attending the school.
To access restaurants, shopping centres as well as other attractions, one can simply embark on a 5-minute drive to Hout Bay, a delightful fishing village. Furthermore, Constantia Valley, only 20 minutes away, is home to an exclusive golf estate, internationally acclaimed restaurants as well as world-class wine estates.
